Addison's Baptism and 2 Month Dr. Appt.

Sunday was a special day as we celebrated Addison's baptism at St. Ignatius in Annandale. We had a visiting priest for the occasion who did a wonderful job. We had our family over after Mass for lunch and cake, not to mention watching the Vikings game. Addison slept through pretty much the whole mass and was a very good girl.

Addison with her godparents, Chad and Jess.

Addison is TWO MONTHS old today! We can't believe how fast time flies when we've got little ones to chase after. We went to see Dr. Fandel today and she assures us that Addison is a healthy little girl. She was particularly impressed by her social skills...eye contact, smiling, cooing, etc. Here are her stats:
Height 23 3/4 inches 93rd percentile
Weight 12 lbs. 8 oz. 89th percentile
Head 40 1/4 cm 86th percentile

Landon's Dr. Appt. and a Few Pics

Yesterday we got to go see Dr. Fandel for Landon's 18 month well child visit. Landon is 19 months old today, but we sure have a popular pediatrician who is very hard to get in to see. No shots...hooray! She was very impressed by how verbal Landon is and how many words, phrases, and sentences she heard him say in the short time we were there.
Here are his stats:
Height: 34 1/2 inches 92nd percentile
Weight: 25 lbs. 5 oz. 38th percentile
Head: 50.1 cm 95th percentile
I asked her if she was concerned about his weight. Everytime we go in his weight percentile goes down. She said that since he is getting taller that he is definitely eating enough and getting enough nutrition. She said he'll most likely be a tall, skinny kid. (Just like Daddy!)
We get to go back and see her next week for Addison's 2 month well child visit! Wait...did I just say 2 months??? Waaaaaa...can we hit pause on life please???
While I am thinking of it, my good friends Shannon and Derek welcomed their 3rd child yesterday...Grant William. Sooooo happy for them and I can't wait to go visit and meet the little guy! He's going to seem like a little peanut, weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz. next to Addison.
So, a few pics for you...
Landon had to try out his little sister's crib with her. Can you tell that she just loves to stare at her big brother?

I pulled out the Bumbo seat last week just to see how close Addison is to being able to sit in it and she shocked me...what a strong little girl! She did so well!

She decided after a few minutes that it was enough and she wanted to get out!

This weekend we are celebrating Addison's baptism. I'm sure to have pictures to share next week!

A Wild Time

On Saturday we celebrated Ashley's friend wedding shower and bachelorette party.
We rented a beautiful cabin on Clearwater Lake in Annandale for the occasion and had a fabulous time! Ashley has some fun and crazy friends! The theme was "wild animal print" and/or hot pink and the decorations turned out great, the food was awesome (we could have fed an army) and the games and drinks were a blast! She had a great turn-out and got lots of fun gifts from her girls. The boys were up in Longville at a cabin as well and I hear from Darren that they had a blast too!
Here's a cute shot of the girls in the wedding party:
Top left to right: Jenna (bridesmaid), Bridgette (bridesmaid), Ashley (bride), Jessica (co-matron of honor), and Molly (bridesmaid)
Bottom left to right: Robin (bridesmaid), Kelli (bridesmaid), me (co-matron of honor), and Mickie (personal attendant)

Each person that came to the bachelorette brought a pair of panties that either represented them or something that they would wear. We hung them all from the balcony in the cabin and Ashley had to guess who brought which ones. She did an awesome job and was able to guess many of them on the first try and without a clue! Way to go Ash! She is stocked on panties for awhile I think!

The winners of the beer pong tournament were Lindsey A. (there were 3 Lindseys at the party) and Lisa. Yay girls!
I survived my first night away from Addison and Grandpa Eddie and Grandma Deanna survived the night with the kids. They had a great time too!
A fun time was had by all and we are now just counting down the days until the big wedding! Can't wait!!!

Blake and Ashley's Big Weekend

What a busy weekend as we celebrated two very special events...
Blake's baptism and Ashley's wedding shower.
Saturday evening Blake was baptized in Darwin.
Darren and I are very honored to be his godparents.

After mass we went back to Jess and Chad's house for dinner.
It was a fun evening!
Here's Jackson holding Addison...
On Sunday we had Ashley's family wedding shower out at the lake.
It was a great turn out and everyone had a fun time!
Ashley got a lot of wonderful gifts.
Here she is holding her rehearsal bouquet
that I made her out of all her gift ribbons and bows.
Look at these cute girls!
Four of the seven bridesmaids...aren't they adorable?

Addison had the right idea...take a nap in the hammock!

She has been smiling lately and it just melts my heart!

We are gearing up for a very busy September and October!
Stay tuned!
