4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July Weekend! Landon was such a good boy all weekend. We stayed at the lake cabin from Thursday until Sunday...it's amazing how much we had to pack to stay that long! On Thursday we just hung out at the lake and Daddy met us there after work. Friday we spent the day at the lake and then went into Annandale to the carnival and watch Uncle Loren play softball. We ate lots of greasy carnival food! Mommy and Daddy stayed up late with Uncle Chad and Auntie Jess while Landon and Lilly went to bed. Saturday we got up and went to the parade, carnival, and then back to the lake. We went to Ramseys for dinner and the fireworks. Then back to the lake for one more night! Sunday we relaxed and took lots of naps to recuperate from the long weekend. We had a nice dinner at the lake with Great Grandma Fouquette, Auntie Susan, Great Grandma and Grandpa Hegle, and Grandma Rita and Papa Bear. We got home Sunday night. Landon was so happy to take a bath at home and sleep in his own crib again...so were Mommy and Daddy! We can't wait until next year!
Of course, some pics from the weekend...

Landon's First Solid Foods

Dr. Fandel gave the okay for Landon to start on solids at his 4 month dr. appt. last week. We anxiously waited for Daddy to get home from Michigan so we could give it a try.
Here are some pics...

He wasn't quite to sure what to think during those first few bites...

He ended up making quite a mess! He didn't really care for plain cereal, so we added some sweet potatoes. He loved that!

Landon loves his sweet potatoes mixed with cereal!

Landon is 4 Months Old Today!

We can't believe how fast our baby boy is growing up!
He has his 4 month dr. appt. today and here are his stats:
weight: 16 lbs. 11 oz. (84th percentile)
height: 26 inches (86th percentile)
head circumference: 43 3/4 cm (86th percentile)
The not-so-good news is that he has another ear infection! Mommy took him to the dr. this past Monday for a bad cough, but his ears looked fine then. Guess they went downhill in the past three days! He's on another antibiotic and the dr. wants to see him again in one month to make sure his ears are all cleared up.
Landon had two shots today and one oral vaccine. He did really well...only cried for about 30 seconds and completely calmed down when the nurse started blowing bubbles for him. He loved that! We might have to go out and buy some bubbles for him now. Mommy didn't even cry this time either!
Time for new pictures:

Landon at the lake

Here are some highlights from the last month:
*Landon went to the cabin for the first time. The weather hasn't been all that great so we haven't spent much time there this year, but hopefully soon!
*Grandma Susan came to stay with us during the week for two weeks in a row so that Landon didn't have to go to daycare when Mommy went back to school. Landon and Grandma took lots of walks, read lots of books, played, and napped together.
*Mommy has been off work for the summer so we have spent lots of time together...it's great! We have been taking lots of day trips to keep us busy. Play dates have been so fun!
*We went to the Buffalo Days Carnival and Landon rode on the carousel for the first time. So fun! We wish that Mommy would've had her camera that day.
*Landon rolled over once from his back to his tummy. It has only happened once and he doesn't seem the least bit interested in doing it again. Maybe this next month! He has gotten really good at sitting in his new Bumbo seat and loves to stand up with support. He thinks he's pretty cool when he's standing up!

It's been awhile, so I thought we'd get some new pictures of Landon on here! His 4 month dr. appt. is this upcoming Thursday, so we will update after that!

3 Months Old!

First Mother's Day
The Grandkids with Grandma Rita and Papa Bear

Our little boy is growing so fast! So, in the past month...

-Kristin returned to work and boy was that hard! It has been two weeks now and each day gets a little easier, but it has been tough. Landon has been spending the day with Grandma Rita, Auntie Ashley, and Jackson. We are so lucky to have family to be able to watch him. He will be starting daycare in the fall when school starts again.

-Grandma Susan returns from AZ. She will be watching Landon for the last two weeks of school.

-Landon has been sleeping through the night! YAY! He goes to bed at about 10 and sleeps until 6. We are so lucky!

-Landon is now drinking 5 oz of milk at a time and is such a good eater...slow, but loves his milk!

-We celebrated Kristin's first Mother's Day! Landon got Mommy a cute card and a beautiful fern plant.

-Landon is cooing, smiling, and laughing now...it's so fun to see him react to our goofy faces! He loves when we sing and read him books.

-As of today, only 9 more days of school for Kristin and the 12 MORE WEEKS OFF!!! HOORAY!

What a Big Boy...

Landon had his 2 month check-up last Wednesday and wow is he a big boy! He weighs 13 lbs. 2 oz. (79th percentile), he is 24 inches long (83rd percentile) and his head is 41 1/4 cm (79th percentile)! Dr. Fandel says he is a healthy boy! He was smiling and cooing at the whole time, until the vaccinations of course! He had 4 vaccines, one of them was oral which he did not enjoy at all, and three were shots. He screamed and then Mommy cried when he got the shots. We are so glad to have that over with...until 4 months rolls around and we have to do it all over again. He had two little band aids on his legs and was very sleepy for the first day after the shots.
Landon went to his first wedding on Saturday. Daddy's friends Rob and Sara got married in White Bear Lake. Landon was quite a hit and got lots of attention from all of Daddy's friends.
Mommy only has one more week until she has to go back to school...oh no! We can't wait for June so that we have 12 more weeks together!

Easter Weekend...

What a crazy weekend! We are just relaxing today after a long and busy weekend. We celebrated Kristin's 30th birthday by staying at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn on Saturday night. Grandma Susan came home from AZ for the weekend. We had a great time hanging out and watching the kids run around and play all day. Landon went swimming for the first time and he LOVED it! He got lots of attention.

On Easter Sunday Landon was baptized at St. Ignatius in Annandale. He was a very good boy! We had lunch and an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Rita and Papa Bear's house after church. It was a great day! When we finally got home Landon got to see his Easter basket filled with books and toys...what a nice Easter bunny!
