Playmates Already

Landon is already being a great big brother and sharing his toys with his little sister!

Doesn't she look just thrilled to have a lap full of cars to play with?

Swimming Lessons for Landon

Landon has been taking Parent/Child swimming lessons through Buffalo Community Ed. He has been doing great! They have been just getting used to being in the water by playing games, singing songs, blowing bubbles, and playing with toys.
Darren has been going to class with Landon as I don't even own a one-piece swimsuit and I don't see myself going anywhere in public in a bikini anytime soon!

(The pool area is quite steamy and fogs up my camera lens rather quickly!)

Apple Jacks and other misc...

For anyone who has never been to Apple Jacks Orchard in Delano, you have got to go! What a fun place. Landon had a blast riding a pony, seeing roosters, goats, turkeys, and chickens. We also ate lots of yummy food (cider brats, pulled pork sandwich, apple dumpling a la mode, apple spice cupcake, and apple slush), rode the cow train, and had fun rolling down the hills by the river. They also had live music, pumpkins galore, and a corn maze that we'll save for next time. The only downside...everyone and their brother was there today due to the nice weather. What a beautiful day!

I just can't get enough of Addison's smiles lately! She is quite the flirt and loves to get my attention and coo at me. How C-U-T-E is she???

We had the privilege of watching Jackson for a few days while Loren and Ashley are in Jamaica on their honeymoon. This picture sums it up...
Addison on the left just hanging out with the boys.
Landon in the middle just adoring his big cousin Jackson.
And Jackson on the right being a big goof!

I just had to add this picture...
Addison is getting stronger by the day! She surprised me by holding her head up really high for a great picture!

Mr. and Mrs. Cook

Last Saturday, October 2nd, we celebrated the long-awaited wedding of my little sister Ashley and her new husband Loren. It was a beautiful day and everything turned out perfectly! Ashley looked stunning! (Seriously like a model in a bridal magazine!!!) We had such a great time all weekend. Ashley and Loren have some crazy fun friends and I am proud to say that I was one of the last ones standing on Saturday night. Pretty good coming from someone who hasn't had more than two drinks in over two years! Darren's mom Susan was able to come and help out with the kids, so that made the weekend go much smoother for us.
Hopefully I will have more pictures to come soon. Being a matron of honor, I didn't have a chance to take as many pictures as I normally would have. I got a chance to take a sneak peek at some of the photographer's shots and they are WONDERFUL! I can't wait to see the rest.
Ashley and Loren are now in Jamaica for the week and we have the little man Jackson here with us for a few days. Landon and Jackson are having a blast playing together. I am enjoying my last week at home with the kiddos before I have to go back to work next Wednesday. Boo hoo!

Addison's Baptism and 2 Month Dr. Appt.

Sunday was a special day as we celebrated Addison's baptism at St. Ignatius in Annandale. We had a visiting priest for the occasion who did a wonderful job. We had our family over after Mass for lunch and cake, not to mention watching the Vikings game. Addison slept through pretty much the whole mass and was a very good girl.

Addison with her godparents, Chad and Jess.

Addison is TWO MONTHS old today! We can't believe how fast time flies when we've got little ones to chase after. We went to see Dr. Fandel today and she assures us that Addison is a healthy little girl. She was particularly impressed by her social skills...eye contact, smiling, cooing, etc. Here are her stats:
Height 23 3/4 inches 93rd percentile
Weight 12 lbs. 8 oz. 89th percentile
Head 40 1/4 cm 86th percentile

Landon's Dr. Appt. and a Few Pics

Yesterday we got to go see Dr. Fandel for Landon's 18 month well child visit. Landon is 19 months old today, but we sure have a popular pediatrician who is very hard to get in to see. No shots...hooray! She was very impressed by how verbal Landon is and how many words, phrases, and sentences she heard him say in the short time we were there.
Here are his stats:
Height: 34 1/2 inches 92nd percentile
Weight: 25 lbs. 5 oz. 38th percentile
Head: 50.1 cm 95th percentile
I asked her if she was concerned about his weight. Everytime we go in his weight percentile goes down. She said that since he is getting taller that he is definitely eating enough and getting enough nutrition. She said he'll most likely be a tall, skinny kid. (Just like Daddy!)
We get to go back and see her next week for Addison's 2 month well child visit! Wait...did I just say 2 months??? Waaaaaa...can we hit pause on life please???
While I am thinking of it, my good friends Shannon and Derek welcomed their 3rd child yesterday...Grant William. Sooooo happy for them and I can't wait to go visit and meet the little guy! He's going to seem like a little peanut, weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz. next to Addison.
So, a few pics for you...
Landon had to try out his little sister's crib with her. Can you tell that she just loves to stare at her big brother?

I pulled out the Bumbo seat last week just to see how close Addison is to being able to sit in it and she shocked me...what a strong little girl! She did so well!

She decided after a few minutes that it was enough and she wanted to get out!

This weekend we are celebrating Addison's baptism. I'm sure to have pictures to share next week!
