Happy Half-Birthday Baby Boy!

We absolutely can't believe that our little man is already 6 months old today...seriously where has the time gone??? I started a little tradition of taking a picture of him on his month birthdays with a little sign that says how old he is. Well, each month it gets a little more challenging to get a good picture because Landon is not as cooperative as he used to be! He used to just lay there...now he practically rips the paper in half or eats it! So, needless to say, this month was quite challenging as you can probably tell by the pictures!

Take 1: We forgot the sign...duh!

Take 2: Ohhhh, what's that Mommy?

Take 3: Give me that!

Take 4: We give up...this is the best we're going to get!

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART! WE LOVE YOU!

Landon's 6 Month Well Child Visit

We JUST got back from Landon's 6 month well child visit with Dr. Fandel in St. Cloud. I say JUST because it took us an hour and 45 minutes to get home due to some road construction near Monticello! Gotta love road construction season, right?
Anyway, we had a good visit and Landon is a very healthy little man! I shouldn't say little because he's definitely not little! Here are his new stats:
Weight...18 lbs. 13 oz....75th percentile
Height...27 3/4 inches...90th percentile
Head...46 cm...96th percentile (Guess he's got a BIG head! LOL!)
Poor little guy had 3 vaccines today. 1 oral and 2 shots. He did well though and only cried for a few seconds...then the nice nurse blew bubbles for him again and he calmed down really quickly! I think back to his 2 month appt when he had shots and how I cried for him...man we've come a LONG way since then. I think my hormones are finally back to normal.
Tomorrow we have his 6 month pictures taken...hmmm, what to wear!?!?

Cokato Corn Carnival

Even though he's still too little to enjoy the corn, Landon still had a great time at the Cokato Corn Carnival on Tuesday night. He loves to people watch from his stroller. Jackson and Lilly were quite the entertainment, as we watched Lilly chase Jackson all around and try to tackle him to the ground...it was hilarious! At first Jackson was not a fan of this little game, but he soon warmed up to the idea and had a ball!

Landon waiting in line with me to get corn...we must've waited at least 45 minutes! It was so busy. I've never seen that many people there!

Here's Lilly trying to tackle Jackson!

All giggles after falling to the ground! They are too cute!

homeless

As of last Thursday, we have been officially homeless. Our new renter, who is fabulous by the way, moved in on Saturday. I spent all day Thursday cleaning and painting...who knew it could be so dirty once everything was moved out! I hope she decides to stay a long time so that I don't have to do that again for awhile!
We spent Thursday and Friday night at the cabin in Annandale, and then went to Detroit Lakes on Saturday afternoon. I wasn't feeling so well, probably from exhaustion and overworking myself all week, so Landon got to spend the evening staying up late watching movies with Auntie Jen, Uncle Kris, Grandma Susan, and Daddy. We went to our nephew Samuel's 2nd birthday party on Sunday... time flies! Then we came back and moved into Grandpa Eddie and Grandma Deanna's house in Minnetonka for the next three weeks until we can move into our new house! I think I just might enjoy living the suburban life for awhile! Landon and I ventured out to find a Target today and ended up at Eden Prairie Center...BUMMER!!!
Landon is sitting up on his own for awhile before he topples over. He rolls over both ways now and still hates tummy time! He loves to play in his Exersaucer that Cousin Sam borrowed him. He has been eating solids now for two months and gets better every day. We are going to try some juice in a sippy cup today. We are heading out to Cokato this afternoon to be in the Cokato Corn Carnival Parade. Fun times!

Landon's 1st Circus

On Wednesday night we took Landon to see his first circus! It was in Annandale and he was such a good boy! Auntie Ashley, Uncle Loren, Jackson, and Lilly came with us! We had so much fun! Landon got a souvenir light up toy that he loves to stare at. Jackson and Lilly got one too!

Daddy and Landon in our seats...the hard bleachers!

We Got Our House!!!

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for us as we attended Granny Anna's funeral in Fargo and burial in Ashley, ND. It was a beautiful day and Granny looked so nice. She's now with Grandpa Eddie in heaven.

On the drive from Fargo to Ashley, we got a call from our realtor that the bank accepted our offer!!! We are so excited! No closing date set in stone yet, but Sept. 4th at the latest. As soon as the bank gets their paperwork complete we will know more.

updates...

First of all, we are celebrating the life of Darren's grandma and Landon's great grandma Anna who passed away peacefully on Monday. We are heading to Fargo tonight for her funeral tomorrow morning. We were able to see her on Saturday and Darren was able to introduce her to Landon. Even though she was not responsive, we believe that she could hear us and was very happy to meet him!
We are still waiting to hear back from our realtor regarding our offer we put on the Buffalo house on Friday. We are getting more and more anxious! I started packing on Monday and we are in the process of finding a storage unit. Our renter moves in August 10th, so we have less than three weeks to pack and move out. This is getting a bit stressful says my "plan-ahead-everything-in-order" personality.
Landon is now 5 MONTHS OLD! I took him to see Dr. Fandel on Monday for a follow-up ear check and she says his ear drums look beautiful. She said she would never be able to tell that he's had ear issues by looking at them! That's such good news for us...we were starting to get worried. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they stay that way! He weighs a whopping 18 pounds, 11 ounces and is healthy as can be! That's all for now!
